i am most content alone;
only until recently have i started to really open up to the possibility that maybe that's not what we are ment to feel.
in yoga we practice non-attachment (aparigraha), not just to things but also people. that everyone has their own heart & dreams & we are not in a position to restrict or possess someone's potential power by attaching them to your own self & for your own greed.
so now i enjoy the presence of others who can sit & enjoy the peace of the quiet moments.
& when it's their choice to stand up & leave, then only give joy & praise for that decision, for you are not their spirit, & their spirit is free.
discovering that life's true gifts can be found in both moments of aloneness & togetherness.
however long or short in this life, to be gifted that time spent as companions is a blessing.
