autumn,

you've passed by each year of my life & i've let you leave without getting to know you.

but of late

i'm entranced by your array of copper & blaze,

& rooted by your wild yet delicate turning of the days.

i could sit & watch each leaf twirl its' depart from your heavens to the earth;

a reminder to let go, to shred, to rebirth.

autumn;

i'm here for you fully, in every crisp & crunchy step.
